Head Start/Early Head Start Program

 

The T.C.O.C. Head Start child and family development program has the following 2009-2010 job opportunities:


Teacher Assistant
; Oregon: 40 hours/week; school year; Minimum of AAS in Early Childhood Education.

 

Teacher Assistant; Earlville: 27 hours/week; school year; Minimum of AAS in Early Childhood Education.

 

Teacher Assistant; Streator: 30 hours/week; school year; Minimum of AAS in Early Childhood Education.

 

Food Service Worker; Sterling: 20 hours/week; school year; Minimum of high school diploma or GED.

 

Food Service Worker; Streator: 20 hours/week; school year; Minimum of high school diploma or GED and excellent driving record.

 

Bus Monitor; Streator: 20 hours/week; school year; Minimum of high school diploma or GED and excellent driving record.

 

Infant/Toddler Center-Based Teachers: (2) 40 hrs./wk and (1) 30 hrs./wk. position in Sterling; Minimum of BA in Early Childhood Education or closely related field with at least 18 of those credit hours in the area of ECE or Infant/Toddler studies. Previous experience in a licensed early childhood setting is desired. Must be at least 21 years of age.

 

Infant/Toddler Center-Based Teachers: (2) 40 hrs./wk and (1) 30 hrs./wk. position in Dixon; Minimum of BA in Early Childhood Education or closely related field with at least 18 of those credit hours in the area of ECE or Infant/Toddler studies. Previous experience in a licensed early childhood setting is desired. Must be at least 21 years of age.

 

Infant/Toddler Center-Based Teachers: (2) 40 hrs./wk and (1) 30 hrs./wk. position in Ottawa; Minimum of BA in Early Childhood Education or closely related field with at least 18 of those credit hours in the area of ECE or Infant/Toddler studies. Previous experience in a licensed early childhood setting is desired. Must be at least 21 years of age.

 

Infant/Toddler Center-Based Teachers: (2) 40 hrs./wk and (1) 30 hrs./wk. position in Streator; Minimum of BA in Early Childhood Education or closely related field with at least 18 of those credit hours in the area of ECE or Infant/Toddler studies. Previous experience in a licensed early childhood setting is desired. Must be at least 21 years of age.

 

Parent/Child Educators (Home-Based Option): (1) 40 hrs./wk. employee to cover the Whiteside County area; Minimum of AAS in child development, early childhood education or closely related field or enrolled in a degree program plus a current Home Visitor or Infant/Toddler CDA. Must be at least 21 years of age. Previous experience infants/toddlers or in a family development program is desired.

 

Parent/Child Educators (Home-Based Option): (1) 40 hrs./wk. employee to cover the Bureau & Putnam County area; Minimum of AAS in child development, early childhood education or closely related field or enrolled in a degree program plus a current Home Visitor or Infant/Toddler CDA. Must be at least 21 years of age. Previous experience infants/toddlers or in a family development program is desired.

 

Parent/Child Educators (Home-Based Option): (1) 40 hrs./wk. employee to cover the Southern LaSalle County area; Minimum of AAS in child development, early childhood education or closely related field or enrolled in a degree program plus a current Home Visitor or Infant/Toddler CDA. Must be at least 21 years of age. Previous experience infants/toddlers or in a family development program is desired.

 

Parent/Child Educators (Home-Based Option): (1) 40 hrs./wk. employee to cover the Carroll County area; Minimum of AAS in child development, early childhood education or closely related field or enrolled in a degree program plus a current Home Visitor or Infant/Toddler CDA. Must be at least 21 years of age. Previous experience infants/toddlers or in a family development program is desired.

 

Parent/Child Educators (Home-Based Option): (1) 40 hrs./wk. employee to cover the Oregon & Mt. Morris communities; Minimum of AAS in child development, early childhood education or closely related field or enrolled in a degree program plus a current Home Visitor or Infant/Toddler CDA. Must be at least 21 years of age. Previous experience infants/toddlers or in a family development program is desired.

 

Parent/Child Educators (Home-Based Option): (1) 40 hrs./wk. employee to cover the Marshall County area; Minimum of AAS in child development, early childhood education or closely related field or enrolled in a degree program plus a current Home Visitor or Infant/Toddler CDA. Must be at least 21 years of age. Previous experience infants/toddlers or in a family development program is desired.

 

Parent/Child Educators (Home-Based Option): (1) 40 hrs./wk. employee to cover the LaSalle & Peru communities; Minimum of AAS in child development, early childhood education or closely related field or enrolled in a degree program plus a current Home Visitor or Infant/Toddler CDA. Must be at least 21 years of age. Previous experience infants/toddlers or in a family development program is desired.

 

Parent/Child Educators (Home-Based Option): (1) 40 hrs./wk. employee to cover the Rochelle community (prefer bilingual applicant); Minimum of AAS in child development, early childhood education or closely related field or enrolled in a degree program plus a current Home Visitor or Infant/Toddler CDA. Must be at least 21 years of age. Previous experience infants/toddlers or in a family development program is desired.

 

Parent/Child Educators (Home-Based Option): (1) 40 hrs./wk. employee to cover the Mendota & Earlville communities (prefer bilingual applicant); Minimum of AAS in child development, early childhood education or closely related field or enrolled in a degree program plus a current Home Visitor or Infant/Toddler CDA. Must be at least 21 years of age. Previous experience infants/toddlers or in a family development program is desired.

 

Family and Community Service Workers: (3) open positions; Caseloads will be split among the service area; i.e. persons hired will be doing quite a bit of traveling among communities; defined areas yet to be determined. Minimum of high school diploma, however preference will be given to candidates with an AAS or BA in social services, human services or closely related field. Bilingual skills a plus. Previous work experience in a human services program preferred. Must be able to travel between assigned communities.
